It is: 2016!
Good morning, reader! It is a beautiful day---only 10:30 A.M. and it's already about 70 degrees and sunny! Lovely :) So, our first order of business for today: I shall give you a survey! Here it is: Scoring: Question 1--orange=three points, purple=two points, blue=one point, other=zero Question 2--less than 13=two points, 13-18=three points, 19-25=one point, anything else=zero Question 3--once upon a time=four points, the voice=two points, jeopardy=one point, 1 and 2=five points, 2 and 3=three points, all of the above=six points, none of the above=zero Score yourself! Then, check the results: 0-2 points--sorry, nothing like me 3-6 points--eh, a little like me 7-10 points--good for you! you're a lot like me 11-12 points--wow! you're my clone! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyway, here's our first topic for today---What's important to you? I really encourage you to leave your answer in my comments section! I'd love to hear from you! Here's my answer: There are so many things that I could answer with, but to name a few: My family MUSIC My friends Food (hey, can't live without it) Academics/good grades -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Speaking of family, here's today's other topic! That is: Who's in your family? My answer: My mom, dad, two dogs, frog(yes, frog), four aunts, three uncles(plus one aunt's boyfriend), two grandmothers, two grandfathers, three cousins, two great-grandmothers...and that's just making a dent in it! (I have a big family) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, I've had an exciting week, and I'm going to tell you about it! This week, I learned about Buffalo, my hometown. But I also learned a lot about teamwork...through activities like Marshmallow On Top, brainstorming, and a "selfie scavenger hunt" down at Canalside, my camp-mates and I learned a whole lot about collaboration. So why should you care? Well, collaboration is, in my mind, a VITAL skill. As I jokingly said before, I can't do this by myself. After this week, I think that should be everyone's mindset for life in general! -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------And now, I shall end with a book review and a little surprise :) But first, the review: Paper Towns by John Green Rating: 4 stars I love John Green, and this book did not disappoint. With Mr. Green's beautiful writing, page-turning plot, and wonderful characters, this was a great novel. So why not five stars? Well, I felt that a lot of the conversations with Q, Radar, and Ben had a lot of innuendo and language that could have been removed with no plot damage. HOWEVER, that is my only problem with this book. I loved the character of Margo, and I loved Q's development throughout the book. Ben's romance was adorable, and the dialogue was realistic and hilarious. The school scenes were also realistic and none of the characters seemed flat at all. This novel was amazing and a total page-turner. READ THIS! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, it is now time for the surprise. You might not like it as much as I do, though... But either way, here is my absolute favorite song! I give you...Hold Me Down by the great and powerful Halsey!!! THE END
Love, Maddie :)
