It is: 2016!
Good evening, reader! I hope you've had a lovely day, and happy Dia de los Muertos! This is my second entry in my series for this couple of days, so if you haven't gotten the chance, check out yesterday's entry :) So, this entry's topic is about one of my favorite things: MUSICALS! Dictionary definition: Also called musical comedy. a play or motion picture in which the story line is interspersed with or developed by songs, dances, and the like. My definition: A play (awesomeness) with a whole bunch of music and dance (even more awesomeness). Totally awesome! So here are some lists about musicals-- Musicals I've Seen: -Wicked -Legally Blonde -Wizard of Oz -Annie -Peter Pan -and MANY more! Musicals I've Been In: -Aristocats -Bugsy Malone -Camp Rock -Peter Pan Dream Role in a Musical: Elphaba from Wicked My Top Two: -Wicked -Legally Blonde Now, I will give a quick summary of those two musicals! Wicked: Wicked is the story of the characters from Wizard of Oz, focusing on the Wicked Witch of the West, AKA Elphaba. It follows her high school years (in which Glinda, known at the time as Galinda, plays a major role), her love for a rebellious, sweet boy named Fiyero, her family life, and the happenings that turned her "wicked". The songs are beautiful and go, in order, as follows: No One Mourns the Wicked Dear Old Shiz The Wizard and I What Is This Feeling? Something Bad Dancing Through Life Popular I'm Not That Girl One Short Day A Sentimental Man Defying Gravity No One Mourns the Wicked Thank Goodness Wonderful I'm Not That Girl As Long as You're Mine No Good Deed March of the Witch Hunters For Good Finale ---------------------------------------- Legally Blonde: Legally Blonde follows ditzy blonde Elle Woods and her cheerleader friends. It chronicles Elle's grand entrance to Harvard Law School (where she goes to follow her ex-boyfriend Warner), her struggle to fit in, her gradual starting to care about being a lawyer, and her weakening attempts to win back Warner as she starts to fall in love....all leading up to the final test of her lawyer skills and a shocking conclusion.... The songs are as follows: Omigod You Guys Serious Daughter of Delta Nu What You Want The Harvard Variations Blood in the Water Positive Ireland Ireland (reprise) Serious (reprise) Chip on my Shoulder So Much Better Whipped Into Shape Delta Nu Nu Nu Take It Like a Man Bend and Snap Gay or European Legally Blonde Legally Blonde Remix Omigod You Guys (reprise) Find My Way/Finale ---------------------------------------------------- That is all! Now for our book review: Ready Player One by Ernest Cline!! Holy cannoli, this book was incredible! Its intriguing premise did not disappoint, and its twists and surprises had me totally blindsided. The characters were well-developed, realistic, and wonderful, from Art3mis to Aech to our protagonist....even Sorrento and the annoying little amateur gunter (I forget what his name is :p) were amazing. I loved the execution of the egg hunt, and the hundreds of pop culture references were delightful...the Monty Python gate had me so happy, I wanted to read the whole movie!! I mean, anything that includes MP and the Holy Grail is awesome in my book :) Anyway, though, this book is absolutely unbelievable. Super creative, fast-paced, extremely well thought-out, and just purely brilliant, this is one of the best books I've read in a long time. Rating: A full-blown 5 stars!!!! ---------------------------------------------------- And lastly our song for today, which is new and amazing.....Hello by Adele! And once you've listened to that (and ONLY THEN), check this out: *ROFL* Peace out, reader! *falls over laughing*
