It is: 2016!
Hola, mi amigos! Como esta? Anyway, on to the post, am I right? Today's topic is my favorite--music!!! Favorite songs, singers, bands--leave me a comment and we'll discuss :) My favorite singers: Halsey Christina Perri The Script Imagine Dragons The Goo Goo Dolls Colbie Caillait (I probably spelled that wrong) ...and many, many more! My favorite songs: Cecilia and the Satellite by Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5 Breakeven by The Script or Colbie Caillait Control, Castle, Hold Me Down, Ghost, and New Americana by Halsey Radioactive, Shots, and Demons by Imagine Dragons Fight Song by Rachel Platten :) anything from Wicked ...and many, many, MANY more! ...and that is all. Now, our book review--of Cinder by Marissa Meyer (book one in the Lunar Chronicles): Cinder is, as you may have guessed, a Cinderella retelling--but a retelling like none you've ever heard before. It tells the story of a future America, where cyborgs are common but not equal to humans, and where a plague called letumosis ravages a land with no cure and no protection. The book follows Linh Cinder, a teenage girl whose stepmother puts her to work as a mechanic. Oh, and she just happens to be half cyborg... When Prince Kai comes to her with an android that needs fixing, it's the beginning of a fateful friendship...and maybe a romance? No, Cinder doesn't have time for that--she has heavier things on her mind when letumosis rips her family apart...and Cinder discovers a deadly secret... Well-written and amazingly developed, Cinder is a brilliant book that showcases a strong heroine and a wonderful cast of intelligent and diverse characters. Definitely worth a read! Rating---4.65 stars (yes, point sixty-five. I thought carefully) And now our song-- Cecilia and the Satellite by Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness! Until next time! *blows kiss* Goodbye!
